  5. EORI Number Registration

EORI number for sellers in Germany: What is it and why is it important?

The EORI number must be provided for all exports requiring a license when requested by the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (Bundesamt für Wirtschaft und Ausfuhrkontrolle). The EORI number must be indicated in written or electronic customs declarations for the declarant and his representative.

The EORI number must be provided by companies and self-employed persons who intend to import goods from a non-EU country into the EU. Without this number, customs clearance is not possible, unless the importer (also known as the declarant) is a private individual.

Cost of the service: €70

Deadlines: 2-4 weeks
